Fire Marshal

The fire marshal works with Hood County fire chiefs to protect firefighters and evaluate fire and life safety issues. This office protects the citizens of Hood County by working as the emergency management coordinator and administering the planning and preparation for any emergency situation that may happen in Hood County.


This office also investigates all fires that result in:
  • Any criminal activity
  • Fatality
  • Insurance fraud
  • Loss of property
  • Serious injury

Department Goal

The goal of the Hood County fire marshal's office is to provide Hood County effective leadership, coordination, and support for the fire suppression and prevention programs within the county and to reduce life and economic losses due to fire and related emergencies and property losses from disasters.

The Hood County Fire Marshal/Emergency Management office has been accepted as a NOAA Weather-Ready Nation Ambassador.
